Social Kitchen CIC is a social enterprise that inspires, trains and supports individuals, communities and organisations.

We use food to bring people together, share experiences, knowledge and understanding.

It’s as much about the journey as the destination – cooking is a craft that anyone can learn and can be just as pleasurable as the eating. Through cooking we can reach people, share recipes, likes and dislikes, create a sense of achievement, build confidence, increase social and practical skills, introduce new experiences, bring people together and of course create some fantastic dishes.

We believe in a hands on approach that encourages everyone to get stuck in.

Our experience working with a wide range of diverse communities has allowed us to develop practical, achievable training methods that are tailored to a specific individuals or group’s needs.

We love food and we think everyone should be able to access tasty

affordable and nutritious meals.

We believe in doing our bit and where possible we source sustainably, support local food businesses and use seasonal ingredients. We recycle food waste and use biodegradable packaging. By choosing Social Kitchen you are not just buying delicious food you are helping to support a socially responsible CIC.

Social Kitchen works with a variety of community groups accross London, third sector organisations, charities, schools, social enterprises, individuals, childrens centres and youth groups.

We work with pretty much anyone who’s interested in using food to connect with people.

Who We Are

With over a decade of community training, nutrition and professional catering experience we believe that food connects us all and we all have something to share.

Kye Lockwood - Co Director

Loves food and has spent most of his career trying to convince people good food can make the world a better place. He started off in restaurant kitchens but quickly realised he preferred sharing the knowledge instead of being greedy, (although he can be a bit greedy if presented with dim sum). He has developed, delivered and led countless community healthy eating and wellbeing projects. He firmly believes that we should all live to eat (and learn to cook).

Sarah Sinclair - Co Director

Loves discovering new foods and sharing recipes. She has a background in nutrition, which led her into managing and delivering community food related projects. Working with diverse London communities proved to be the perfect way to tap into a wealth of food knowledge and tradition.

If you have a recipe you would like to share please get in touch.

We love sharing recipes and when we come across a good one we try it, test it and if it is is still good we post it on our facebook for everyone to have a go.

We welcome feedback so let us know how you get along.
